Promotional

(63 cards)

They are divided as following: 2 Animal Crossing, 7 Pokémon Battle-e, 6 Pokémon Channel, 34 Pokémon TCG, 7 Super Mario Advance 4-e and 7 other cards.

The cards in the detail:
- Animal Crossing promotional cards: one was sold with the American device and the other packaged with an issue of Nintendo Power magazine.
- Pokémon Battle-e promotional cards: 4 were sold with the Australian device and 2 were packed with Game Boy Advance "Pokémon Ruby" and "Pokémon Sapphire" titles. There are two versions of card 129-B002: one has "Iron Defense" misspelled as "Iron Defence".
- Pokémon Channel promotional cards: 3 were sold with the American version of the GameCube "Pokémon Channel" title, and 3 were sold with its Australian version.
- Super Mario Advance 4-e promotional cards: 2 packed in with every new American copy of "Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3" Game Boy Advance title. The other 5 were packed in exclusive copies (the first shipment) of the game sold at Wal-Mart stores.
- Pokémon TCG promotional cards were mainly given away at certain special events or packed with games and videos. Maybe the most rare Pokémon e-Cards set is the 10 cards of the "Sample Set": these were manufactured for the stores like Pokémon Centre in New York so that the store staff can demonstrate the e-Reader games and features to customers.

The 7 generic promotional cards are:
- 2 versions of "Manhole-e": one sold together with the American e-Reader and the other handed out at E3 2002. This card was the promotional of the "Game & Watch-e" series. This series was supposed to be released on November 17th 2003, but Nintendo cancelled everything at the last minute, and the revised release date was never disclosed. The series would have offered over 25 games, sold as randomised packs of 5 e-Cards, including some rare holographic cards.
- Air Hockey-e and Hockey Card-e: the first was given away for free at certain outlets and the second was packed with the Australian device.
- The "Eon Ticket" was given away with magazines and in stores; it unlocks the "Eon Ticket item" in the "Pokémon Ruby" and "Pokémon Sapphire" titles for the Game Boy Advance.
- Kirby is the protagonist of 2 promotional cards: one is the "Fox Box Promo" given away with certain issues of gaming magazines, the other is the "Contest Card" available at E3 2002. This is one of the rarest American e-Cards: visitors of the E3 2002 had to swipe this card on the show floor in the presence of a Nintendo representative. On the Game Boy Advance screen appeared either a "winner" or "not a winner" message. The winning cards (with two type of winning messages: first and second prize) were confiscated and torn in half to prevent second try-outs of already winning cards: that’s why winning Kirby Contest Cards are rare. Only 100 "Second Prize" and 10 "First Prize" cards were distributed.
